Del Mundo Group is a dynamic and rapidly growing company in the food and beverage industry, known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
Founded on December 6, 2016, by Mr. Nelson del Mundo, the company has quickly expanded from a single franchised restaurant to a diverse portfolio of both franchise and original concepts, catering to a wide range of culinary preferences.

Founding & Early Expansion

The journey of Del Mundo Group began with the opening of its first restaurant, Mesa Filipino Restaurant at SM East Ortigas, in partnership with FOODEE Global Concepts.
This successful venture laid the foundation for further growth, and later, the group expanded by opening a Pancake House branch, also at SM East Ortigas.
In 2017, the Del Mundo Group acquired another Mesa Filipino Restaurant, this time at SM Fairview, continuing their momentum in the food industry. The group’s commitment to quality and customer experience fueled further expansion, and by 2018, they had successfully franchised additional Mesa branches at Ayala Mall Circuit, SM San Lazaro, SM Cebu City, and SM Seaside Cebu.
Innovation & Original Concepts

Despite the difficult circumstances, Hayashi Yakiniku quickly gained popularity, leading to the opening of two more branches. Additionally, the group expanded their Japanese cuisine offerings with Hayashi Home of Katsu, which now boasts four branches.




Further Expansion & Success

Driven by a passion for growth and excellence, Mr. Nelson del Mundo continued to explore new opportunities. In November 2021, the group introduced Ramen Bari Uma & Buchiton, an international ramen brand from Japan. The concept was an immediate success, prompting the opening of five Ramen Bari Uma branches and three Buchiton locations.


Exploring New Horizons

Following the pandemic, Del Mundo Group sought to diversify its offerings even further. This led to the introduction of OLDTOWN White Coffee, an international brand specializing in white coffee. The first branch opened at SM Grand Central and has since expanded to eight branches, with more on the horizon. Mr. Del Mundo and his team underwent rigorous training in Malaysia to master the authentic flavors and operational excellence of OLDTOWN White Coffee, ensuring that the brand’s high standards are maintained in the Philippines.

With a solid foundation in franchised operations, Del Mundo Group ventured into creating its own unique dining concepts.
